Learn Your SEO Spam Blogs From Your Genuine Blogs

Search engine optimisation is a complex subject but contrary to popular belief, not all SEO blogs are spam and should not be banned. Blogs that inform people about SEO are not spam and should not be mixed up with the search engine tricksters who’s main aim is to talk about any subject using search engine optimisation tools.

The key difference between spam SEO blogs and SEO blogs that are about SEO is that the latter are blogs such as these that inform the public about SEO. In contrast spam SEO blogs are blogs that are not about SEO as a technique but are more like blogs that are search engine optimised, meaning they are designed to trick search engine spiders with keywords and other such tools. This is known as black hat blogs and unfortunately the two different types of blogs can often be mis-interpreted by the uneducated eye and bundled into the same category.

SEO blogs that should fill into the spam category are articles/blogs that have been written with their sole purpose of tricking search engines into ranking their websites higher. They are basically aimed at the computer not the human and WordPress.com have taken a disliking to this and rightly so as the program is not made with that type of SEO in mind.

However, it is true that many SEO blogs that are talking about SEO and the different techniques as well as subjects that are all based on SEO, also use some type of SEO method. The difference being that there is no intention to fool the search engine in the same way that back hatĀ  blogs do.

The main problem that is erupting from this is that when a SEO professional company, like UK SEO agency, or professionalĀ  individual is performing SEO for a client who understands very little about the difference between the two, they can panic about being banned as they know you are blogging and simply walk away from your project.

It is also true that there are plenty of people utilising the banned way of SEO blogging and too many unsuspecting clients are being taken advantage of and for those who are genuine with their SEO approach, the mixture of badly written advice and black hat bloggers are making our jobs far harder. Clients who understand little about SEO, which are the majority, may learn that blogging for SEO purposes lead to being banned by search engines and without fully understanding what you are doing and the difference between that and the spam, can lead to you losing out on business, even though you used the correct form of blogging.

It is important from the beginning to explain the process at a basic level to avoid any confusion further down the line as lots of information available to clients is badly written and will group the two types of blogging into the same category.
