Google Analytics

Google analytics is a free service created by Google which allows you to track and monitor your sites traffic and view how effective your marketing is. It is aimed towards marketers as they can view how well their marketing campaigns are working, and what needs changing or improving.

Thr primary use of Google analytics is to monitor your websites traffic and track how users are getting to your site. For example, Google analytics produces charts showing how much traffic is being generated from Google organic searches, any CPC ad’s you may have, etc. From this you can then decide where you want to focus your marketing, depending on which areas are producing better results.

You can also view which pages of your site are attracting more users and therefore focus more attention on these pages and market them more specifically. Charts are produced to show you on which pages users are leaving your site, inlcuding during which point of purchasing an item users are leaving the checkout process. A chart shows you the exact number of users which are leaving on each page of the transaction and gives you a general idea of the reason they’ve left. This then allows you to review your checkout process and make any changes necessary to improve the process.

You can also track email marketing and social networking which is good as these are more modern forms of marketing that more and more companies are using to advertise.

There are many more features of Google analytics, these are just a few of the most important ones used. If you’d like to be able to review and improve your site using Google analytics, why not contact us here at UK SEO Agency as we currently use this feature to monitor sites we develop. More and more companies are using emails as a source of marketing, and its easy to understand why. There are many advantages of using emails to market products, which benefit both your customers and your company.

A few advantages of email marketing:

  • Emails are created by you, meaning you can design and personalise your emails to suit your company. Emails can be sent out as often as you want and each email can be created to promote a different product or idea of yours.
  • Once you’ve created and started sending out your emails, you can track the effectiveness of each email with reports generated by your email provider showing daily, weekly and monthly reports. You can also monitor the amount of subscribers and unsubscribers your emails are generating and the details of their subscription, for example the reason a customer unsubscribed to your emails.
  • Emails can be personalised easily to each individual subscriber so the customer doesnt feel like just another object.
  • There is a fast response from emails as they are sent and recieved almost immediately (providing everythings working correctly) and they can be sent all around the world quickly.
  • You can use email marketing to conduct competitions, etc. which both promotes your company and attracts potential customers.

There are too many advantages of email marketing to mention within one blog, these are just a few examples of why email marketing can be an asset to your company.

Here at UK SEO Agency, we are able to provide email marketing to each client that requests it and can frequently update clients on the success of each email. Email Marketing

October 28, 2010

Email Marketing can be an extremely powerful tool in the modern business today, but so many companies don’t know how to take full advantage of it. Im going to discuss the best ways in this blog of how to do it properly and successfully.

The one thing that you have to remember to do is keep the designs fresh and make sure that they actually interact with your potential customers, what I mean by this is to give them something that will make them want to use your company such as special offers and discount codes. People often try and use the hard sell approach to drive traffic to there website without using special offers etc this can be one of the worst things any company could do, remember you are trying to catch your audiences attention you may only have one chance to do this, first impressions are everything.

Email Marketing is one of the main ways to promote your business and a successful one, how often do you receive an email yourself, find something you like and then go and buy it? Even if a company only converts 5% of there potential customers, when your sending out 20,000+ emails it is a pretty good conversion rate. A lot of major companies look at sending out 1 email a day maybe even 2 this is because they have the time to create the emails and because they already have a wide audience to target so it is worthwhile for them, I would recommend sending out 2 a week if your a smaller company as it is about trying to gain more business without coming across as to pushy.

I have found you get more success from Email Marketing if you get the designs created by a professional, don’t forget they are the professional for a reason, it also gives you more chance of capturing there attention and driving them to your website.

The most important part of creating a marketing email is to make sure that when you convert it into html that all of the links that are created hit the correct landing pages, the worst thing that could happen would be to create an email and have all of the links directing you to different products, remember sending them to the correct landing page is half the battle in converting it to a sale. Its about taking care and making sure you get it right first time.

Until Next Time
