Our Other Sites

At the UK SEO Agency, we are always trying to develop other websites to help our customers, Here is a list of the sites we are currently working on

Yahoo

Yahoo was founded in the 1990's by two Stanford University students David Filo and Jerry Yang. They began their venture as a hobby, a way to categorise and manage links to their favourate webpages - A single place to find useful websites. Although David and Jerry soon found they were not alone in this interest, people were using their online database structure not only within the University but outside the University grounds also. Word was getting round quickly. In 1994 Yahoo celebrated its first 1 Million hit day! It was then David and Jerry realised they could make a business from their hobby creation.

Yahoo stands for: Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oricle, David and Jerry wanted to add humor to the name, giving the impression of uncouth and rawness. Yahoo is today one of the leading search engines, changing the way people communicate, how they find and access information and purchase things online. In short Yahoo is a global Internet communications board.

Today people use the Yahoo search engine to primarily search for particular products/services or information within the Internet. Within the Yahoo website you can access free email, online message boards, Yahoo Messenger, news, games and much more. Yahoo directory also offers websites the chance to pay for a specific listing within their paid directory submissions. Overall Yahoo provides an in depth service to all its users.

Even so Yahoo continues to take second place as a search engine, Google monopolies the search engine industry setting the standards. Yahoo search algorithms are not as precise and efficient as Google's, producing slightly less quality search results. Although we must not forget that Yahoo is still the second most popular search engine within the World Wide Web, gaining huge numbers of traffic each day and continuing strong.
